Payments can fail for a variety of reasons and it can be very frustrating! There are three possible reasons why a credit card payment might fail:

1- Payments declined by card issuers (your bank) When a charge is submitted to the issuer of your customer’s card, they have automated systems and models that determine whether or not to authorize it. These systems analyze various signals, such as account balance, and card information such as the expiration date, address information and CVC.

2- Payments declined by our payment providers (Stripe / PayPal) Most often it will be because there was an error in entering the card number, CVC code, expiration date or the postal code does not match.

3- Your card is not compatible with 3D Secure authentication For extra fraud protection, 3D Secure requires customers to complete an additional verification step with the card issuer when paying. Typically, you direct the customer to an authentication page on their bank’s website, and they enter a password associated with the card or a code sent to their phone.

Our tips for avoiding declined payments: -> It is better to buy less vote pack, but with more votes. Example: instead of buying 5 x 1000 votes, instead buy 1 x 5000 votes -> Favor payments with strong authentication (example: Apple Pay with Face ID) -> Use your PayPal balance instead of paying by credit card
